BRIDGETON CELEBRATES THE SEASON WITH
ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

The Bridgeton Recreation Department will hold its tenth Festival of Lights December 1, 2 and 3 at the Cohanzick Zoo in the City Park from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  The rain date is Sunday, December 4.  This year’s theme is “Peace On Earth”.  Admission is $3 per person.  Advance tickets may be purchased at the Recreation Office, 35 Mayor Aitken Drive, Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Reserved parking is available for $5.00, and those who wish to commemorate lost loved ones may purchase a Remembrance Dove for $5.00 in advance or at the Festival.  Some other items also are fee based.

There will be a free craft for the kids (while supplies last), and free karaoke (release your inner American Idol).  The ever popular train ride will be available for a nominal fee.  Elsa and Anna will be there Friday and Saturday, and, of course, Santa Claus.  The zoo will be beautifully lit with flashes of colorful lights.  Visitors may bring a gift for their favorite zoo resident.  A list of suggestions may be obtained through the Recreation Office.

And, since our keepers have been exceptionally good this year, they are receiving a special gift from Santa.  Be among the first to find out what it is.  The Festival is fun for kids of all ages.

Funding has been made possible in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Cumberland County Board of Chosen Freeholders through the Cumberland County Cultural & Heritage Commission.  We also wish to thank Let’s Do Linens, Inc., PhilCorr, LLC and B. W. Stetson & Company for their financial support.

For more information contact the Recreation Office at 856-453-1675.
