Special Hours
Friday, January, 16
The library will open at 11 am instead of 9 am.

Saturday, January 17
The library will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Lego Club
Saturday, January 3, 1-2:30 pm
Kids ages five and up are invited to attend our Lego program where we will listen to stories based on a theme, and then build our own creations to go with that theme. Registration is required. Funded by a Community Development Block Grant for Library Programming.

Guided Tours of Woodruff Museum
Wednesdays, 1-4pm
A knowledgeable volunteer will be on hand to provide guided tours of the Woodruff Museum of Indian Artifacts on Wednesdays from 1-4pm.

Teen Library Council Meeting
Tuesday, January 6, 6pm
Teens ages 12-18 are invited to help plan programs for teens and children, help choose new books for the library, and much more! New members welcome.

Baby Time!
Fridays, January 9, 16 and 23, 10:30 am.
Babies, ages 6 to 23 months, and their parents or a caregiver are invited to Baby Story Time where we will share simple stories, nursery rhymes and songs. No registration is necessary.

Preschool Story Time
Tuesdays, January 13, 20 and 27, 10:30 am
Children ages 2-6 and a caregiver are invited for stories, songs, finger plays, crafts and a snack.  Story time is free and does not require registration.


Story and Craft
Tuesdays, January 13, 20 and 27 at 10:30 am
Kids ages 7 and up are invited to share stories, activities and crafts. This program will take place at the same time as our Preschool Story Time and is perfect for older siblings!

Teen Anime Night
Tuesday, January 13, 6pm
Teens, 12-18, can watch anime and help choose new anime and manga for the library. Those who like to draw are encouraged to bring their art. No registration required. Funded by a Community Development Block Grant.

 “Zoobrary -- Wild About Books” Story Time!
Thursday, January 15, 10:30 am at the Bridgeton Library.
What happens when the Cohanzick Zoo and the Bridgeton Public Library work together to create an awesome event? The answer is Zoobrary! A program that exposes children to great stories and the opportunity to learn about and meet live zoo animals!

Zoobrary will be held on the third Thursday of each month at 10:30 am, with the location alternating between the library and the zoo.
This free program is recommended for preschool age children. Registration is not required.

Board of Trustees Meeting
Thursday, January 22, 4:45 pm
The Board of Trustees will meet on the main floor of the library. The public is welcome to attend.

Teen Movie & Pizza
Tuesday, January 27, 6pm
Teens, 12-18, are invited to watch a movie on our big screen while enjoying some delicious pizza. “Sixteen year-old Thomas wakes up with no memory in the middle of a maze and realizes he must work with the community he finds himself in if he is to escape.” Rated PG-13. Please register.

Poetry Workshop
Thursday, January 29, 6:30 pm
Robert Evans, published poet and Creative Writing teacher at Cumberland Regional High School, will present a poetry workshop for adults, ages 18 and up. Please register.

Parachute Party!
Saturday, January 31, 11 am

Children ages 2-6 and a caregiver are invited to a Parachute Party! Our new program is a great way for children to develop gross motor skills, learn to work together, and express themselves through imaginative play. We’ll be playing high-interest games and moving energetically to music – all while holding on to our lightweight parachute. Adult participation will be expected for this event. Registration required.
