KELLY SPONSORS SENIOR AUTUMN DANCE OCTOBER 16TH AT GIA”S BALLROOM

As we say goodbye to summer and turn our sites on autumn; with the promise of winter just ahead, holiday celebrations and fall colors in full view, it’s also that time of year when seniors in the greater Bridgeton area look forward to what’s become a mainstay of the season; the Senior Autumn Dance.

Set to take place October 16th beginning at 6:00pm at Gia’s Ballroom located at 36 Mulford Drive in Bridgeton, the autumn dance will feature music, entertainment, food, and a lot of dancing.

As the event’s sponsor, Bridgeton Mayor Albert Kelly has been hosting both spring and autumn dance events as his way to honor seniors in the Greater Bridgeton area for their contributions, while also providing an evening of fun and good fellowship.

“The senior dance events are evenings I look forward to every spring and fall, which is why I sponsor them. It’s also a great way to reconnect with old friends and make new ones. I’ve said before, there are a lot of activities for teens and youth, but not as much just for our elder statesman. They’ve given of themselves; raised families here, served on boards and committees here, and generally been the backbone of our community. The evening is about saying thank you”.

As with previous events; the dance is for residents of the Greater Bridgeton area, 60 years of age and older. Tickets are $3.00 and tickets must be purchased in advance at the Office of the Mayor, Bridgeton City Hall, 181 E. Commerce Street. Tickets will not be available for purchase at the door.

Those interested in finding out more about the October 16th Autumn Dance or to purchase tickets can call the Office of the Mayor at (856) 455-3230 Ext 200. Anyone needing information about transportation is also encouraged to call in advance for arrangments.
