Celebrate
the warmth of the season with “A Frozen Holiday” at the 7th Annual
Festival of Lights at the Cohanzick Zoo in Bridgeton, New Jersey. The dates are Fri., Dec. 5, from 5-8 &
Sat., Dec. 6, from 4-8 pm. Come enjoy the lovely lights, take a train
ride or take in the view from the air on the Ferris wheel. Children can make a craft to take home (while
supplies last). You may even get
discovered as you wow the crowd at karaoke.
Entrance to the Festival of Lights is free; however, there is a nominal
charge for some items. Reserved parking
is available for $5.00 nightly. Spaces
are limited, so contact the Rec. Dept. at 856-453-1675 to check availability
before sending payment. Vendors also are
available to sell you their wares. You
also can honor departed loved ones with an ornament for the Wall of
Remembrance. Angel ornaments are $10,
bows are $5. Ornaments must be paid for
by Dec. 1. The gift drive for the
animals also is on, so bring a gift for your favorite zoo resident. To
download the Wall of Remembrance application, and for a list of gift
suggestions for the animals, please visit the City’s website at www.cityofbridgeton.com.
Funding
has been made possible in part by the New Jersey State Council on the
Arts/Department of State, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the
